Dr. Amy Kirkpatrick is the proud owner and lead veterinarian of Edgewater Animal Hospital, set to open in Spring 2026. North Carolina State University alum, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2010 and her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the North Carolina State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014.
With over 11 years of clinical experience, including serving as lead DVM at a prominent veterinary practice in Charlotte, Dr. Kirkpatrick excels in preventive care, advanced dentistry, abdominal ultrasound, wide range of surgical procedures and pain management.
She is passionate about integrating the latest veterinary technologies to deliver cutting-edge, compassionate care. At Edgewater Animal Hospital, Dr. Kirkpatrick is committed to providing state-of-the-art, personalized veterinary services in a welcoming environment for pets and their families.
In her free time, Dr. Kirkpatrick enjoys continuing her competitive swimming career by being a member of the SwimMAC Masters Swim Team. She also loves to spend time with her husband Scott, her 2 year son Henry and her adorable rescue terrier mix Frances.
